The annual Firearms Festival is scheduled for 31 August 2013:

This happens on the Knapskoot Skietbaan about 40 km west of Ellisras/Lephalale on the steenbokpan road

We have the usual range of activities on our nine shooting ranges.

ProAmm grouping shoot:
Our main event sponsored by PMP, own rifle, ammo supplied.

Big Bore shooting:
The annual BASA (Big Bore association of SA) "outshoot".
9.3 mm and bigger. Own Rifle and ammo.

Active hunting range:
Hunting simulation with .22 rifles.

Junior training:
For under 18s, under the watchful eye of instructors of the hunting association. (Waterberg branch).

Handgun shooting:
Camouflage 7,62 and the SAS team will be on this range and allow handgun owners of all levels of proficiency to test their skills.
Also on this range, Paul and Tacshac's exhibition of cool stuff.
(Paul, please forgive spelling mistakes if any.)

Clay target shooting:
On the shotgun range, your chance to prove your skills on moving targets. 12 bore ammo supplied, own or borrowed shotgun.

Muzzle loaders:
On the muzzleloader range, "Mic" from Flint and Musket, will instruct you in the use of either a percussion rifle or a Brown Bess flintlock.
Or you can prove your mettle with your own smokepole.
The Martini Henry competition also happens on this range.

Boer and Brit shoot:
The grand finale. At the end of the day, the foes of a century ago compete with iron sighted bolt action rifles. Shooting at steel plates at 100 m.
Due to popular demand, this year there will be a category for selfloading rifles in the Boer and Brit shoot as well!
Bring those FNs, LMs and Mini 14s! (And ammo.)

Sabi Wapens demonstration range:
The Sabi wapens exhibition demonstrates amongst others Krieghoff double rifles at a nominal cost.

At the end of the day, we all come together in the big tent, for the prizegiving ceremony.

Then there is a show by the well known Rhodesian singer and composer John Edmond. All the ex-rhodies, this promises to be a huge highlight. (I know Chas Lotter will be there.)

As usual there is also the traditional venison potjie and braai, at the end of a great day.

Everything is on track. Hope to see lots of gunsiters there.

Sadly, we had to cancel the Muzzle loading item.
Unavailability of Sannadex, and the fact that Mic, our range officer was severely injured in a motorbike accident.

However, the muzzle loading range will now be used for demonstration of SLRs by Tac Shac.

The Martini Henry item will still feature on that range as well.
