    Default Elysuim, and Sharlto Copley

I have whatched a couple of trailors on you tube for this movie. I am a big fan of Sharlto. He plays the part of Kruger, a sf soldier in the future. He uses his SA accent to his advantage. From the comments one can see that people all over the word love him. Seems as if he truly loves his job. In one of the behind the scenes clips, he even made a reference to 32 Batalion. Also I saw that he uses original SANDF cammo in the movie. His mega co superstar Matt Daman says of Sharlto:" he is either the craziest or the most dedicated actor I have ever seen"

Check out the trailors, and listen for when he shouts:" Its only a flesh woooooond!"

He was fantastic in Distric 9 and The A Team
    go Sharlto!!

Sharlto commented on a radio interview that it is the first time ever that an Afrikaans nursery rime is being allowed to be used (he sings/chants it somewhere in the movie) in a major Hollywood movie.

Hmm, must go watch this then.

@RAY The P-word in Afrikaans sounds an awful lot like the P-word in English ;)

So, I saw the movie and liked it. It doesnt realy paint a good picture about South Africans, but so what so many movies doesnt paint a good picture about Germans Americans Russians and so on. I enjoyed the movie for what I went to see it namely a action sci fi entertainmant.

Copley steals the show, and the kicker is he is truly scary. There are a lot of "South Africanisms" in the movie. One of the SA mercs caries a R5. They are a shuttle crew that reminds of the gunships of the bush war. There is a huge Oryx painted on the side of the shutlle, maybe a reffrence to our local SAAF Oryx? Watch for a couple of Afrikaans swear words as well as Jan pierewiet. Didnt realise a song like that can be scary. Agent Kruger(Copley) works for the CCB, remember them? Kruger and his cronies reminded me of my instructors in the army. I kinda sat through the movie with a smile. Whatch out for a scene where Kruger braai, with only pt shorts on. Ala old SAW.

I can see this movie championing a political cause, something like the gap between the rich and the poor. To be honest I didnt care about that, I went for the entertainmant, and I was fully entertained.
