Gents don't know if you have all seen this, it's the first time I have,
But this is a pretty well summed up article that cuts through the "bullshit baffles brains" which normally surrounds the whole preparedness mindset.
Oh and he speakes of a tiered loadout which I have been preaching about for years.
It is a very worthwhile read.

This was an interesting thread to read through. I’ve been busy putting together a few items to keep in my work back, gym bag, car and just around the house in general. Seeing that this thread started 12 years ago, and the decay that has occurred since then I am curious to know if some people who initially called others crazy have had a change of heart? I myself view the country in a vastly different light than I did then, but hey, I was a teenager back then, so I had a lot to learn.
The 2021 riots, 2022 floods in KZN were an eye opener, as is the fact that the first time I got my own place I had weeks without water and electricity…
