Re: The New Raptor From Truvelo
I have only put a few rounds through one.
Dont know why they had to change how the mags are seated from the R series.
Didnt seem as reliable as the LMs I have witnessed and shot. I have only shot one raptor though so this cannot be seen as a measure of overall reliability.
If they prove to be reliable long term I think they would be good bang for buck

Hay BigT
Well thats the thing is that they haven't changed from the R series or LM series. It still use the the same mags. They designed it that it can take both mags. With a simple mod to the gun it changes from taking LM mags to M4 style mag where you just slot it in. When u order the gun u choose the spec. I think that is a brilliant bit of planning there. Whats nice bout the raptor is that it comes in 2 different calibers as well 5.56x45nato and 7.62x39(AK round). Thats very very cleaver as well.and its extremely light weight with next to nothing recoil. Ive test fired the gun a number of times now with plenty rounds thru it and in my opinion, i think south africa has found the answer for the replacement of the R series and LM.

What I meant is that I would rather that the mags rocked in rather than went straight up.

BigT they do, exactly like the LM or R series. As i said wen u buy 1 u choose if u want the mag well or not. If not then its exactly like the LM
