    Imagine being able to buy a crate of these veterans for $2-3k.

    I think alot of the buying of them in the states is due to the fact you can get super cheap milsurp ammo (maybe its dried up now) and then also that there is a big thing about them on the net.

    If you do the math they are the same price as the .303 you can pick up here but problem being the cost of ammo afterwards.

    Agreed on the math being similar. The bit that excited me is the chance of getting a crate of 20 rifles last packed 70 years ago.

    Although that said, it sounds like the gun shops do mess with them.

    It's also unlikely any of us mere mortals could justify licenses for 20 identical weapons. Perhaps a collector could?

    Agreed.

    But if a gunshop say offered a mosin and a crate of ammo (1500) for say R5k i would be all over it
