Re: Grauffel Rocks
I really want to shoot, so Ill bribe, steal, beg, whatever it takes. Maybe we get a BIG allocation! The next two SA nationals will count towards the allocation.....
At the end most of us will probably just stand on the side line

Re: Grauffel Rocks
Henno the guys from my club pushing for selection are shooting between 2000 and 5000 rounds a month now. They expect to shoot 30-50k before they even fly... If only i had the cash...

Re: Grauffel Rocks
Yip. There are some REALLY good shooter in SAPSA.
But if you look at the world shoots you realize just how good the top guys in the world really are.
I shot in a detail with 1 or 2 of the top guys in SA, thinking to myself that no-one can be faster or better, and then they don't even make top 10 at world shoots in their divisions.

Re: Grauffel Rocks
The biggest difference... IMO.
The top shooters are normally part of an OEM team, and as such have endorcements and\or full-time jobs in the firearm industry, allowing them to shoot in excess of 20000 rounds a month... we don't have that luxury locally.
It boils down to time spent practicing, and the costs associated with it.

Re: Grauffel Rocks
Eric Grauffel is a machine.
13% ahead of some of the best in the World is just crazy! He beat Stoeger bt 5% the last two years at the USPSA Nationals.
He is extremely talented, but also one of the hardest working shooters out there. And he uses our proudly SA CR Speed gear.
Well done King Eric!

Re: Grauffel Rocks
USPSA nationals tacking place a couple of days after Stillfontein Nationals, quite a couple of SA shooters going.....watch the top bUS boys and girls at that match, going to be a hum dinger, many of them did not go to the Europeans......What was interesting was to see where Blake Miguez placed at the Europeans, only manged a 5th if I recall!
