I would like to be some where where there is professionalism rather than attitude. I would be using my 45 gov model, and either my FN 7.62 or Colt AR15 and Winchester 1300 pump action. Would also like to be able to use my UZI.
    Can anybody advise?

Have downloaded a fair amount of info on IDPA including SADPA's site page. I live in the JHB. Can anyone suggest a good range with a good crowd...?

There's the Jhb (Cecil Payne) & Golden City Clubs (Golden City Range - Aberton). Greatest bunch has to be Jhb (Humble me... hpy71). They're having a club shoot this coming Sat (6th). Contact Marge on 011 - 794 3323 and check with her as it is the Year-End shoot. As long as you're a SADPA member somewhere, you can participate at any club - so choosing the right club is not really critical.

Thanks for that info. I was looking at Cecil Payne as being in Rodepoort it is probably the closest options. I do understand that their conditions are also very good. Saturday is also my year end shoot at TML and therefore will get the ball rolling in January.
To all who visit "Gunsite", have a great Xmas and a stellar 2009

I see the IDPA voice came through strong on this one and nothing wrong with this. Have you had a look at the SA website of IPSC? Go to www.sapsa.co.za and have a look at what they offer. I am not knocking IDPA at all and just pointing you to have a look at IPSC also. If you do go the IDPA route, you will be in good company and you can also be in good company in IPSC.

Attend a IPSC shoot and go to a SADPA shoot and meet the people.
