Magnum Magazine - Action Reports

Hi guys,

Since the Magnum magazine was sold...
Would it be possible for those with old copies to share the Action Reports that they used to run? Or would this be illegal with copyright laws and such?
Just thought it would be nice to share the reports as it would help us be better prepared by learning from those who have been in the situation/s before, as well as providing for good reading...

Any comments would be appreciated...

Great Idea, But I'm sure all copy rights ect would have been transferred with the sale

But I'm speculating here

Copyright is still in place, regardless of new ownership.

I have theesands of mag's going way back and could scan and send. Word recognition software is just such a pain in the arse.

Word of warning: Anyone posting scanned or otherwise reproduced images from Magnum, or any other publication for that matter, without first procuring that the owner of the copyright in the material give the site owners written permission will be banned.

Magnum magazine gave me permission a few times to use a story or part of a story. I used to put the monthly safety newsletter together and intersting stuff from Magnum was used in them a few times. The editor did ask that at the end of the story I was to mention they were the source and thank them.

Answer from Magnum re my request:

" We cannot give you permission to publish, as several issues concerning copyright are still being worked on with Media 24 who have acquired the rights to all material that belonged to SA Man (Pty) Ltd as publishers of Magnum.

I will refer your request to them in due course.

In the meantime please note our standard request that all emailers provide their full names, addresses and daytime telephone numbers when writing to us.
