    Default Self defence pens

    Hi guys,

I am looking to a tactical pen for when it is impossible to carry a folder or my BHP, question is...which one?

Of these 2 options I would go for the 2nd one. A hidden blade might be detected if security are sharp while the bladeless pen will not attract attention. I have seen some footage made available to international law enforcement which details just about every conceivable hidden blade type instrument so you might find some security who will look for it.

I carry a CRTK Tac pen and it has gone on every flight and location I have entered in the last few years and no one has batted an eyelid. Incidentally, the CRKT is actually quite a nice pen to write with;-)

Why must it be a "tactical" pen.

Any metal barreled pen will pretty much do the same thing at less cost and with less of a profile.

Frankly, most plastic pens will do too.

Please excuse mu ignorance. What is a tactical pen if it does not have a blade.? Surely it is then just a pen.

Spiked edges, extra strong points. Just a more sturdy pen used to inflict trauma

Anything can be a weapon and a blade if possible is better then a plain pen, But these days everything is tactical. I think I will buy my son some tactical Twinkies for lunch...

Just kidding. Your mind is your best tactical weapon. If it looks tactical it has the cool factor.
