Any 300m - 500m ranges in Gauteng, preferable close to the Westrand?

If you don't come right, Rashoop shooting range in Brits can go up to 600 Yards (about 550)
It's not too far out from Hartbeespoort dam.

Rashoop is great. Trust mic on that one.

Another one is Krokodilspruit. Don't know how long it is in total, but a buddy of mine went to shoot 600m there the other day. There's also a shop, and what they have which Rashoop does not is a bit of shade... :P

Krokodulspruit shooting range near Roodeplaat dam has a range that goes up to 500m. That might be a bit far for you.

Hi. The system seems to be that sub 300m ranges are common for hunting clubs,for ethical hunting practises I assume. If you really want to go further, which a .30 calibre is capable of, I suggest you hang with the SABisley guys. They use SANDF ranges stretching to over 1km. I am thoroughly enjoying the time with the bisley boys. The effective distance for a .30 is about 1km so no excuses. PM me with your email add. Il send you info.
