    We as teachers are not allowed to touch a student so what will security guards be able to do? Again, treating the symptoms instead of the disease. And armed guards? We get reminded on a regular basis that schools are dangerous weapon free zones.

    Done correctly, this could be a great idea...such as using DARE or School Resource Officers or similar...but given current SA government in general, very unlikely to be a successful program IMO. I do seem to recall that SAPS had some sort of program some years back. Maybe visiting Members or similar?
