Default Drowning doesn't look like drowning!

We have members here who have never seen this article before, so I continue to post it every so often in hopes that one or more people might be saved by doing so...

Thanks again for the posting. Spoke about it last week when he recounted the story of a 14 year old he tried to save a couple of weeks back, but were a little to late. The guy got into trouble in a rip tide. As he said , by the time they realised something was wrong it was to late. Warning to be extra vigilant around water.

Thank very much Ikor. I as a father of two under the age of five found this article to be most informative. I have both at swimming lessons already but that still guarentees nothing in the water. Really appreciate you posting.

If you even remotely suspect you kid was drowning take them to ER. You also get something called secondary drowning that occurs later.

Seen this, it kills. Doesn't matter what age, any near-drowning episode requires medical intervention. Even a table spoon of salt water aspirated can have terrible consequences.
