Talk to me about the Spyderco Persistence
Hi Guy's,
Looking at a Spyderco Persistence. What are the pro and cons regarding this knife. I actually want a Native but my budget restricts me.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Talk to me about the Spyderco Persistence
I got one, because the price was right for me.
I love it, its' kept the edge so far and is a sturdy little knife it also fits nicely into the pocket. I don't regret buying it one bit.
What else do you want to know?

Re: Talk to me about the Spyderco Persistence
Hi Ady,
Thanks for the speedy reply. Good to know it has good edge retention. Is the lock good? Does it close in your hand while you are cutting?
I can get one for R600. The Native is R1380.

Re: Talk to me about the Spyderco Persistence
I have started carrying one daily for the last month. Very nice and the right size for me, not too big and not too small. Nice and smooth and good lock up.
Upgraded from a Spyderco Byrd cara cara 2 which also did the job nicely.
As i always say, i want a knife that is cheap enough that i lose it or break it, i wont be crying about it. Just order another and good to go.
Where can you get one for R600?

Re: Talk to me about the Spyderco Persistence
I got the price from A Rosenthals. Right in your valley. Speak to Pieter. I think the overnight postage is R80
Please do not take the last one....

Re: Talk to me about the Spyderco Persistence
If it was me, I would save up a tad more and get the native. Biggest reason is S30V and the Native's ergo's are better IMO.

have a read.
Made in China.
I've landed 3 Spyderco Natives in SA for about R800 each, buying off ebay.

Re: Talk to me about the Spyderco Persistence
Ebay is the place to buy Spyderco. Good shipping rates from a few folk too. My Dragonfly2 landed here last week, 2 weeks after I ordered for $7.99 shipping.
