Hijacker killed - Durban

At 13:30 yesterday we received a call of a shooting in progress in Rosary Road, Greenwood Park. Upon arrival our officers reported that 3 armed black males in a silver Nissan Mirano with an NPN registration plate attempted to hijack a member of the public.

The victim was also armed & managed to defend himself against the suspects, the suspects fired shots at him and he sustained a severe gunshot wound to the leg, The victim managed to fire shots to defend himself and managed to hit one of the suspects killing him instantly.

Very nice. Taking a shot to the leg sucks, but rather there than in the head methinks :P Wishing him a speedy recovery, glad he kept cool and returned fire. One less scumbag to worry about over the holiday season.

This occurred about 3km as the crow flies from my house, albeit on the "wrong" side of the hill. There has been an increase in crime in the area in general over the last 6 months.
