    Awesome poem. .few of this generation understand unfortunately. I salute all our wounded and fallen heroes...salute!..respect!!

    Few do understand. But on the other hand it's also, unfortunately, just schmaltz. They died defending or promoting a political system, not for "rolling hills of blue". Arguably UDI was a terrible mistake and Rhodesia/Zimbabwe would have been a very different country today had it not occurred. Think of Zambia for example.​

    Im not one for poem's but this pulls at the heart strings. My deepest respect for those who fought for something they believed in.

    It does make a person think ; We all have to stand for something at some point in our lives , but it is tough to stand alone , as they say " United we stand , Divided we fall "....Thanks for sharing...

    Northern Rhodesia has its problems. But it's never been torn apart by the race issues that have bedeviled Southern Rhodesia.
