Failure to Extract (my gun from my holster)
Couple of days ago, just before the last class of the year for Krav at TKM, finds me in the men's rooms making my gun safe (I keep my EDC gear on while training but unloaded & hammer down). I attempt to draw my G26 from my kydex holster, and it doesn't budge, I pull a bit more and nothing, well just a pain in my right testicle where the crotch of my pants is biting. I return the gun & holster to its normal 3 o'clock position and try with a bit more force (with the crotch of my pants strategically moved a bit over to the right). No joy, the holster with G26 firmly embedded gets nearly to my armpit, my pants and belt pulled as high as it can go and the gun doesn't clear. Now I am seriously rattled, thinking: if this happened out on the street I would be very dead moments after performing some preposterous looking antics with something on my belt line! I pop the pull-the-dot studs and take the gun and holster out complete, and attempt to draw — the G26 slides out no problem. Do it again, again no problem to draw. I put the rig back IWB and ... no joy, the gun sits there like its glued. I take the gun out and repeat the external draw, but this time I notice that the pull-the-dots are loose, the one stud in particular is really loose. I tightened it up with my finger (no Allen key on me), return the rig to IWB and voila, it works, the gun slides out like it should.
The belt/pants pressure of IWB carry with the loose pull-the-dot's caused the gun to bind in the holster...
Clearly I was dumb not to tighten them properly in the first place, and then later not to notice this issue proactively...
So this is a cautionary tale with a moral or two: Make sure those pull-the-dots studs are nice and tight. Inspect your gear regularly looking for problems proactively.

You can locktite anything and when you have to remover just dissolve the locktite with some pure acetone and not cutex remover as it is a bit on the weak side

This type of thing usually occurs just after Christmas season along with shrinking belt syndrome ;)
