Which species to include in my motivation

Hi guysI'm motivating a .223 for vermin control. Which species can I include in my motivation (that I can legally hunt!).I hunt the following: Jackal, vervet monkey and porcupine in the Jansenville areaandvervet monkey and porcupine in the Upington area.Thanks

Hi Jo,

Have a look at the PHASA website. They have the hunting ordinances per province on there. Look at the species prohibited to hunt. Otherwise look at the department of enviromental affair's website of each province for the hunting ordinance.

I don't see NC on the PHASA list, however, google brings up this:

Black-backed jackal
Lynx
Vagrant dog

The mentioned species would suffice.

Personally I believe you can put kwaggas and dodo's on that motivation and nobody would notice.

On a more serious note, rather than come across as a blood thirsty killing machine, that wants to eradicate all pest species, I suggest you stick to just Jackal. Thats all I needed for my .204 app.

Its also something they receive apps for all the time, hence can relate to
