    Default Ordering on Ebay?

    Hey All,

I'm looking into ordering a knife off of ebay and having it shipped over here. Overall the price plus shipping will be cheaper than buying locally. Although I'd like to support our local guys, the bank just wont let me.

This would be a first time for me ordering through ebay and internationally. Has any one done this before? Is it reliable?

    Cheers,
    Drew

Roughly add 25% to Cost price of knife excluding shipping and you will have your approx duties including VAT.

I do a few eBay purchases every year and always come under the local price tags. I do hunt around a bit though. The shipping in most cases is reasonable. I'm never in a rush for items. I just received two Fobus products and they offered free shipping from Israel. Paid R67 at Customs.

Just make sure you are buying from a reputable seller, that is the biggest risk.
Customs has never been an issue for me.

I agree customs duties are fair, every now and again items slip through which is a bonus!

Biggest problem is "replicas" or fakes being sold as authentic...

eBay are pretty strict when it comes to disclaimers.
