I have never like twitter, actually hated the bloody thing. The past week though, it has proven an almost invaluable source of instant and sometimes detailed information. I am willing to state that, when used correctly, it is a superb...no, vital source of knowledge. I am now a convert :)

Sounds like pushing the envelope, but they don't seem to want too much confrontation. Not yet, anyway. Sterkte, mossie! Get that competency squared away and get some guns.

From The Herald Port Elizabeth, Facebook page.

Police have issued warnings in Uitenhage's western areas for people to stay home tomorrow amid new threats of riots in the area.
Seems like things may be spreading to other parts of the country.

They are busy packing tyres and the group is growing here near me also. We got SAPS to the scene. This is near Sebokeng. Avoid these roads.

They've lost it in East London: all this because they demand a 14th cheque. Wow...I've never in my life even seen a 13th cheque...

Is it just us that find this concerning or are there other people out there thinking we are fast underway to a full scale rebellion. I think the first sign of guns from the protesters should seriously see us prepping for something a whole lot bigger.

Again, without trying to sound alarmist, I'm not waiting for these goons to show up with guns first. In fact, they don't need guns really: Rwanda, Angola, Kivu conflict, Darfur...all you need are a lot of bodies wielding farming implements and you have trouble.

Don't think you should have your head in the sand, but we are not anywhere near a rebellion. Anyway you cant really rebel when you are going to vote them all back into power in a couple of months

+1 about the rebellion. I am concerned that we will see looting of residential areas and suburbs next though.
