Re: I survived a farm attack and armed robbery
Horrific! Glad you made it out ok - excluding of course the emotional trauma and physical effects on you and your family.
Live to fight another day

Two things I'm wondering.
Was the guy a wolf that worked for you to gain intel?
Or a worker turned wolf with the intel?
Food for thought ether way

Re: I survived a farm attack and armed robbery
Thanks so much for sharing. Glad you are on the road to recovery. God bless you on the rest of the path.
This is almost exactly the same as the attack on my in-laws last year. Cash and inside job. These guys are invariably not highly trained but they never come in blind.

Re: I survived a farm attack and armed robbery
Sorry Chaos247, wanted to just clarify this a little more. I carried 24/7 for more than 10 years, then i had kids - boys who like to fiddle - and until they are old enough to understand - i stopped, especially at the insistence of my better half who had never lived in such an environment. However, due to the surgery, i would have undoubtedly left my gun in the safe anyway.
The main issue to come out of all of this IMHO is that we need to reduce the reasons for these attacks - which is almost always cash/items to sell for cash. If you are perceived to carry cash - you are a target.! As i learnt the hard way - these okes got a lot more patience than most of us have, we have been here 20 years, i believe we treated our staff much better than the average (i.e no revenge issues), then when you are at your most vulnerable, they strike.
