finished some steel
yesterday
UTAC [formerly called the tactical utility]
5 mm thick Bohler N690 hardened to 59/60HRC
texturerd black G10 and blue fibre liners fastened with heat-coloured ss fasteners.
this was the 1st time i used a blue liner, looks good, subdued with black scales.
did some filework on the spine and a "line cutter" notch on the blade.
General Cluster [bigger version of the UTAC]
10.5 in oal ,5.5 in blade [i rushed with the pic,my buddy came to collect it early]
6 mm thick Bohler N690 hardened to 59/60 HRC
600 grit hand satin [i was doing the finish on this blade when i took the pic of the UTAC]
honey linen micarta, red liners and heat coloured fasteners.
EDC Shark
5 mm thick Bohler N690 hardened to 59/60 HRC
hand satin
sharpened top edge
Burgundy linen micarta and heat coloured fasteners.
i really liked how the scales finished, deep oxblood with a very nice sheen.
close-up of the burgundy scales.the grain looks so good [well, better than pics anyway]
TUTAC [tanto utility tactical.yeah i'm the lyrical poet, don't you know it]
this is a little smaller though, oal is 8.2 in ,blade is 3.7 in.
5 mm thick Bohler N690 hardened to 59/60.
machine satin.
leading edge is zero ground for strength, unsharpened false edge.
scales are Black G10 with red fibre liners, heat coloured ss fasteners.
filed the spine.
kydex sheath, with some nice black fasteners [my buddy picked some of this up years ago,now he cannot remember where from]
i take knives to a gunfight

I LOVE the tanto Harm, you are truly a talented individual.
One day, when I'm grown up, I'm going to ask you for a custom knife.
