Best big bore calibre?

I would not put it so bluntly..you may get .375 H&H Magnum owners who will object strongly to your blatant remark....even pointing to the fact that a .375 H&H Magnum is a medium bore may be cause to rock the caliber boat....

Gert I agree but I believe it is common practice that "Big Bore" status is afforded to anything .400 calibre and over while .300 calibres are regarded as medium bore.

The .375 H&H was designed to be a medium bore, long distance plains rifle. Only afterwards it showed itself as a fitting allrounder and DG hunting rifle.

Andrew , you are correct...HoggerNaut, was pulling your leg...

John "Pondoro " Taylor is maybe the only hunter that was able to give super bore properties to the .375 H&H Magnum....although it is a medium bore...and not a back -up rifle..or a stopper caliber.....
