This Seven Oceans emergency ration is specifically designed for storage on sea going vessels and life boats. The packaging is extremely robust.

It tastes very similar to scotch short bread and has a granular type of texture. It is easy to chew and swallow, requiring no preparation or water. You could easily serve the biscuits with tea or coffee.

Each case has 24 boxes in a case. Each box is has the 9 bars of biscuits. The entire contents of the box is vacuum sealed in a heavy gauge foil. Thus it impervious the elements and requires no refrigeration once opened.

However its use is not restricted to life boats. It compact size and robust packaging make it a practical emergency food for flying, driving sailing to remote locations.

The individual 500gram boxes will easily fit into a bug out bag without taking up much more space than a box of shotgun shells.

Agreed. Not just limited to shipping. I bought a few boxes last week and it will go into BOB, car, etc. Taste is not half bad as you pointed out and with a stated shelf life of 5 years (which you can probably push to 10 IMHO) it is good value for money.
