    Can anyone ID this little bugger. Seen them before but never take a picture. This one drowned in the pool.

    Spotted Harlequin Snake / Gevlekte Kousbandjie
    Homoroselaps lacteus

    It is a mildly venomous snake but is not of medical importance. You can expect pain and swelling of the limb.

    It feeds on small snakes and legless skinks and because of the underground lifestyle they are not often seen.
    They max out at 50-60cm

    If they max out at around half a meter is this one a juvenile?
