X300 Ultra Surefire

So Im looking into getting one of these. I read all I could find on the forum.
My question is , is there anything else I need to look at ?
Is there anything better on the horizon that might be worth while to wait for?

X300U is awesome light, expensive though. Other options available, what's your budget like?

Well the X300U Im looking at is R3200 so that should give you an idea.
Looked at those 2 pdh but its just not the X300U.

Do a test, wake yourself up at 2am and go into your pitch dark living room/any other room and shine that 500 lumen light. I struggle to do it with a 200 lumen APL.

If you have a large property or on a farm then I would say go with the 500 lumen.

All im saying is dont assume more lumens are better

Yep I'm aware of that but this is more for on the farm after an incident 2 weeks ago. I need something that can gooi a light.

More lumens = gooder.

I carry a 650 lumen light and have cleared my house and other's with it. All without going blind.

Streamlight TLR-1 HL is cheaper than the X300U by R500.
