Couple attacked after car breaks down on R80 in Soshanguve 02 May 2014 | From Arrive AliveA couple was robbed, and the woman raped, when their car broke down along the R80 in Soshanguve, north of Pretoria, police said on Thursday.

They were approached by two men, one of whom was armed, and who robbed them of bank cards and cash in block XX on Wednesday night, spokesperson Captain Rheineth Motlana said.

"One of the men asked the boyfriend to accompany him to the ATM to withdraw money, while the other one remained behind with the woman."

When the boyfriend came back from the ATM he found his girlfriend had been raped. Both men fled the scene. A case of robbery and rape was opened.

I really do feel shit for the couple that this happened to.

I also dunno how you leave your wife alone. I don't care if I go down fighting but ill do what needs to be done to protect my wife and family.

Hope she recovers and never got a death sentence from the rape

I hope that the couple recover equally but my thoughts especially to the lady.

Just a quick thought on this could it be a mental thought on the victims that if they cooperated that they may have not been harmed?

Eish, the R80...

There are 2 things that recently made me make the decision to ultimately buy a SD firearm for both me and my wife.
1 being the fact that we bought a house, and the back is adjacent to a veld, and we have had a break-in already/
2 is the R80. I work in Rosslyn, and spend some time at the office at funny times - much like last weekend where I was at work Saturday night 20:00 - 23:30 and again Sunday morning 02:30 - 05:30.
