Nope. Was working fine, then one day just stopped turning on.

Recommendations on a long throw with slight flood, that can maintain its beam. Ideally a removable 21700 battery, but rechargeable via the torch body. Oh - and ideally straight profile, so even if it slightly big, can still fit in a pocket.

    Upto about 150/200m.

Ive been reading up on a couple, but first hand experience would be great.

Somenof the brands/models I've read - Acebeam P17/18, Sofirn SC33, Wurkkos (few models).

I'd add the Olight Seeker to your list. The Seeker 4 with the smooth reflector ticks all your boxes except perhaps the distance. They say 400m so probably more like 100-150 in practice. I had the Seeker 2 Pro for a while, which is not as throwy, but quality seemed good.

And just a heads-up, you probably already know this, but with a pocket-sized light powered by a 21700 battery, you’re essentially looking at a 1300-1700 lumen light. Many manufacturers push out 4000 lumen for a minute or so, and base all the specs, like range/candela, on that. If the light is to be used for more than a couple of minutes, it's best to make sure of the specs of the lower (sustainable) modes.

Have you tried bypassing the tailcap with a paperclip or similar?

I have not. Any advice on how to do that?

Take a paperclip or something else conductive, and use it to connect the negative end of the battery to the body of the flashlight, after you've taken the cap off of course :)

Doesn't register anything unfortunately. Think it may be time to give up on it and find something new. Thanks for your help

Have you checked if the battery still retains a charge? Does it deliver the required voltage?

They have a ton of reviews, probably for almost all the lights you're looking at.
