Shooting cmj's in glock barrel cant get it cleaned!
And I thought it will be better to shoot the frontier cmj's rather then lead bullets to prevent leading in the barrel. Well after about putting 300 of these reloads through it and wanting to give it a good clean I saw the the grooves are still dirty. I put M98 throught it twice and scrub with a brush but to no avail.
If I realy want to get out that last bit of dirt in the grooves I will have to look at using some Jb compound or what? Or am I being to serious about pistol cleaning?
Thanks

I have never had a problem that Hoppes, Ram Nitro solvent or Trisol couldnt solve.
I wouldnt use an abrasive compund and there is nothing wrong with wanting a shiny clean barrel. Give another bore cleaner a try.

Put M98 in and leave for awhile (1 hour plus). Run dry patch through and repeat process till clean. It's not as though you are huffing and puffing during heavy labor. Let the chemicals do their job in time. When no more blue gunk is visible your barrel should be clean.

If your Glock is still fairly new (as in less than 1000 rounds new) it is probably due to the phosphate finish in the barrel. New Glock barrels all do this, its normal. After enough rounds fired the phosphate finish will be gone or polished smooth and your barrel will loose the dull marks in the grooves.

I would stay away from anything abrasive.

dont glocks have polygonal rifling?
my P30 has "stains" in the middle of the grooves from use, cant get it out. otherwise the barrel is perfectly shiny.

I shoot lead and CMJ.
I scrub with copper brush and paraffin. The clean patch through. Then again previous process.
Then I use nitro solvent and then copper solvent. Any of the chemical s we have cleans mine but I need to remove most with the copper brush and a lubricant such as paraffin or the red nitro solvent cleaning solution by RAM.

So those of you that shoot reloads in Glock are all good? So much conflicting advise online about Glocks, the "kabooms" and reloads
