I will shoot a Gen2 Recon this coming weekend.

Handling it, one gets the distinct impression of the handling characteristics of a full size heavier barreled AR15 rather than a AR308/R25/AR10.

I am taking a wild guess here but the Gen2 feels lighter in weight than the LM4 and for me, "handier". I will compare weight in the next couple of days.

The 16" barrel Recon Gen2 is actually shorter in oal than a PWS MK214 14" 308 and quite a bit lighter as well.

The bolt carrier of the Gen2 is similar in diameter to an AR15 bc but longer.

The bolt is obviously and distinctly heavier and stronger than the AR15 bolt and features a serious extractor and unique double ejector.

Trigger is the best out of the box non-custom (non after market) trigger I have tried on any AR. 2 stage with crisp break.

DPMS themselves have confirm the 308 Raptors will NOT work :(

also, i assume the BAD-ASS ambi safety levers would work.

No charging lever/ handle .... yet. The Gen2 lever is shorter than the AR308 and longer than the AR15 handle.

Do not know yet about the BAD Lever. If you do Proctor's class you will see it is possible to live without it and still handle and manipulate the rifle efficiently and fast.
