    Default Hunting knife

Hi guys, need some advice. I'm going hunting in a couple of weeks and need a hunting knife. What can you recommend as a good all round hunting knife. I also need advice on a EDC knife. Budget is R800 for the hunting knife. Hope you can help!

For that price range, try a Buck Paklite skinner, and an Opinel for delicate work as well as EDC.

Yeah, for that price range I'd also look at Muela.

    I have the Muela Sioux.

The shape of the knife depends on what you want to use it for as well.

I am not a fan of a gut hook as it weakens the tip of the knife. I prefer a bigger blade and thicker. This enables the knife to be used for utility work as well besides just a skinner.

Look at some of the following. The Muela Rhino is my preferred one. I have handles it before and it is very comfortable and nicely sized blade. Then again just my preference.
