BP shooting day, Swaershoek, 11+12 October 2008

The shooting event will be of a very informal nature, and is not affiliated to BPSU or any other organization. The format of the shoot will be as follows:


Venue is Swaershoek, located close to Rankins's pass, between Thabazimbi and Nylstroom. It is about 200Km from Pretoria.

Entry fee: R60 per person shooting. This entitles you to enter in all four disciplines. Entries are open to all people with an interest in meeting fellow black powder shooters.
Camping is available at R50 per person per night, and will go towards the "Feeskomitee" at the "Swaershoek Gelofte Feesterrein"

Preliminary classes will be:
Rifle - ALL types (no telescopic sights)
Smoothbore
Shotgun
Pistol / Revolver

As long as the weapon fires a bp loaded round, and is not fitted with telescopic sights it will qualify to enter.


The main prize will be awarded to the person with the highest overall score.
Prizes would also be awarded per category.

Prize giving will be Sunday afternoon (12th October)

All targets will be interactive, and scoring will be handled by the RO's
All shots to be taken in the standing position

Preliminary schedule will be:
Saturday: Rifle, Pistol/revolver, Smoothbore

Sunday morning: Shotgun (10 clays each , DTL style)
