A little play with a 2 piece forend from ATI
hi guys
Quick one. Is it normal to have a little play on a two piece forend kit? They clamp together but there is still a bit of play which is obvious when twisting the vertical grip.
I don't mount any optics to the rail but it is a bit annoying.
Thanks.

Twist hard enough and just about anything will flex.if there is no play in normal use ie without a vertical grip dont worry about it. Also depends on where the play is ie if where it mounts to the reciever check your mounting.

Thanks - I don't have to twist very hard at all.

If it attaches with what is essentially the normal delta ring then it will move much like a normal handguard but with possibly just a little less play. To be secure there needs to be a new barrel nut and method of attachment.

Thanks for the info.
Seems I may have missed the set screw at the bottom of the unit, will make sure.

Re: A little play with a 2 piece forend from ATI
On further inspection, there was a hidden set screw missing - missed in instructions. Now I find there is a little play between the upper and lower. I hear this is normal so I am going to stop stressing about it.
Thanks for the input.
