Re: Bang Alert
I just wanted to add the following:
When I had do decide on where to install the units, one of my big headaches was: how to conceal the tripwire. I phoned my dad, and he suggested knee level, because most people do not look down there when they are walking.. especially not when they have gained entry to your property illegally and they are busy conducting "window shopping"
Two of the units, that I installed are placed so that, it is impossible to see the trip wire at night, even with all of the ambient light.
The one unit, that gave my wife the early warning, on that day, is placed so that, us who know where it is, can clearly see the tripwire. I was worried that, I should move it, so that the wire is less visible, but, even in clear daylight, the intruder did not notice it, and still set it off.
I have now adjusted that tripwire, in case he comes back, and tries again."Trespassers will be welcomed, and served a light lunch"

Re: Bang Alert
This is just an update on my three Bang-Alert units.
They have been in use for the last 4/5 months now, and I was worried about the rain season upon us, plus the irrigation accidentally wetting the Bang Alert units.
There is visible rust on the hilti CAP, and despite all of the water form rain and sprinklers, the units still did it's job. Last week Thursday, in the wee hours of the morning, we had uninvited visitors. The unit did it's job."Trespassers will be welcomed, and served a light lunch"

Cool stuff Dirk.
Anyone have any idea where I can get some more of the black nylon cord?
Mine got FUBAR'd in my recent building.
