Successful defence-N2 hijacking!

So this is a second hand account of a situation that happened this long weekend to a relative of mine!

Driving back from Plett on the N2 at night and he hits objects placed in the road. Nearly rolls his Jeep but manages to stop and is immediately suspicious so calls SAPS.

Gets out to start changing the tyre that has burst and is grabbed from behind by a BG and told he is going to be killed.

His wife and unborn baby as well as 3 dogs are still inside the vehicle.

He fights back and draws his gun and fires 2 shots at the BG but aiming to miss him (he is a better man than me ).

Takes aim at the BG with 3rd shot and gun jams.

BG makes his escape and SAPS arrive 5 mins later!

All ok besides a bit of shock.

Lots of lessons to learn but All in all he did very well and saved his families lives as well as his.

I think he is now converted to EDC and not just Occasional carry. And yes he had function tested his carry ammo with no problems!

Huge risk to do that. With kids and wife to protect, you can't afford to mess about.

Not sure but I'm guessing unusual firing position or poor grip. Apparently shot while being held by the BG.

What would you expect him to do? Nothing? What's the point in carrying then?
