9mm Repair question
Hi,
I dont currently have a firearm license. Im planning on getting a hunting rifle (243/270) early next year, but currently I can purchase a 9mm Browning short (IIRC). Before I go for the training certificate and apply for a license for this 9mm I want to find out what will it cost me to have it fixed. If you fire it, the bullet jams.
If I have to replace the chamber, what would it cost roughly?
Thanks

Re: 9mm Repair question
My advice is don't bother. Buy a decent 9X19. No point in buying someone elses headaches.

9X19 is a Nato calibre description. Its 9mm Parabellum or Luger. What is your budget?

Plenty of decent pistols available at that price. If youre lucky and shop around you may find a Glock at that price. Used of course. Look at the Browning Hipower clones too. What area are you in?

Re: 9mm Repair question
Roger, keep checking the junk mail and in the man magnum magazine, there are plenty of guys selling off their pistols for next to nothing just to get rid of them!

Re: 9mm Repair question
Roger, absolutely do not purchase a damaged / "in need of some repair" handgun, especially considering the difficulty in obtaining a replacement if things go utterly pear-shaped. As stated you can do much better in your price range.
You'll find the answer to your procedure question in the licensing section.
