Firelighters
For us townies,
only just noticed these on the shelf at the supermarket.
Could be quite usefull, box of 16 blocks, the sandf ratpack fuel tablet in the middle for comparison. The claim on the packaging is that it burn for "up to 17 mins".

Re: Firelighters
CG, I'm curious :-) to know if it will burn for 17 min as advertised, and whichs burns longer, bic or Sandf.
Mind doing a test for us all?

Re: Firelighters
You are welcome to live off bugs, etc,a nd no doubt you are quite capable of doing that...
BUT before that I'll happily work through my own/my neighbour's tinfood they left behind while "bugging out" or "donated" to me.Think "spamcan"!
"Survival", as in "bushcraft" is not a realistic option for me nor will it ever be for most of us, why be all "delusional" to think we can also live of the land?
Work with what we have in the inviroment we are used too,eg after the gas, after the batteries have run flat...
I have no business in the bush, wouldnt survive a week nor will I/most of us even make it that far.(think urban,eg Bosnia-Sarajevo comes to mind, or Syria today)
Still "facepalm"?
