Thread: Medical Kit

    Default Medical Kit

    Hi guys,

I'm planning of doing my Level 1 in September. Just a question on the Medical kit.

Where do you get the Wound / Field Dressings as required by the Level 1 Check list. When I hear this, I think for the old "bom verband" we used during my time with PW & Sons.

I can't seem to find anything like this at any Dischem of normal pharmacy.

I looked at Celox, but that is just ridiculously expensive.

    Thanks

    SpongeBob

Have a look at Be Safe Paramedical. I cannot see where you are located on my phone but they have Branches in Cape town and JHB

Just an ordinary pressure dressing. Either no 3 4 or 5. Available at just about any pharmacy in the 1st aid section.

In Pretoria there is a place called Edna Medical Supplies in Frederika St, Gezina. They sell all kinds of medical stuff, instruments too. Bought some of my instruments there when I was still active in SAPS.

Dont need anything fancy. When doing L1 or any L for that matter, less is more stick to the packing list and carry what it says not what you think you may need
