Does anyone have any experience with the hella dokka. I am looking for a folding knives to take hunting with me. However it won't be used for skinning.

I cannot give a direct comment on the Helle knives, only some distant and general remarks. Hope it helps.

If not for skinnning I suppose it will be for general use. The form of the blade should be good for that and the scandinavian grips are good to work with.

Personally I do not like the Scandinavian cutting edges but the design is centuries old and therefore it must be good, much like the kukri, parang, bowie etc. I have seen woodworkers use their knives in Norway and they didn't have trouble with dull blades.

The Norwegians know their steel. In that department the knife should also live up to expectations.

Give us an update when you are back?

Thanks for the response, I have decided to go for a puma faisan duo instead.

I will let you know what the knife is like once I receive it.
