Re: PDPC SADPA CLUB SHOOT TOMORROW
Just
Fortunately, the little one is reaching the age soon where I'll be allowed to go shoot again. I had to trade this shoot for brownie points so as to do Tac carbine with Ross. That's on a Sunday which, apparently, is worse.
Enjoy guys. PDPC shoots are always good.

I'm going. I think this will be my last shoot before Africa Champs. We'll see how it goes.

Re: PDPC SADPA CLUB SHOOT TOMORROW
Seeing as you derailed your own thread, I should be safe in responding.
Issue is not the week, wife cares for the baby then. Problem is, she'd like to take a break before she throws the baby against the wall. That's where daddy takes over weekend duty. My daughter, for some unexplained reason, likes to cry the whole of Friday night like clockwork. That creates grumpy parents on Saturday. Especially the one that spent the whole week with her.
In the end, if my wife isn't happy, NO-ONE in the family is happy. So you do your part or suffer the consequences.
I DID manage to go hunting last weekend. (Well, I drove away on a hunting trip and came back 5 days later because flu intervened). So it's not as if I don't get out. And the little one is becoming more manageable. And she smiled at her daddy for the first time this past week. That made a lot of the sacrifices seem trivial, I tell you.

TTT - your wife, your little one and you will look back and be glad that you are that kind of dad.

A pretty well thought out and thorough explanation.

Re: PDPC SADPA CLUB SHOOT TOMORROW
I had the pleasure of shooting 5 of the stages as part of the annual interdepartmental Winter Games today. Shot the stages according to Ipsc rules, but explained the way things work in IDPA to everybody on every stage in order to spread the word and educate the people a bit.
Very good stages with some very challenging shots as well. You guys are going to have a lot of fun. Good training for Africa Champ. Enjoy!
