I received my first knife when I was around 13, a victorinox with the single blade, and on varsity they broke onto my car and I lost my pride and joy. Since then I had various knives, but my latest ones is bit better.

And on Friday my wife bought me my first fixed blade. I know this is not the place to ask, but what is the feeling about the Muela fixed blade knives.

Muela are great knives, good for carrying while hunting!

I have a meula pocket knife with gut hook. My wife also bought it for me. I treat that knife like something holy. It does not cut anything except for gutting or cutting throat on hunting trips.

The Muela I once owned had "soft" steel, much like the German steel on some older Puma's. It was a pleasure to sharpen and use.
