It is THAT time again!

Firearms festival on 30 August on the Knapskoot range near Ellisras /Lephalale.

This is a whole day of fun with firearms.

Ten items on nine different ranges for the whole day:

Pro-amm shoot
Big Bore shoot
Active hunting range
Clay target shooting
Junior training
Handgun shooting.
Self loading rifle demonstrations
Muzzle loader shooting
Boer and Brit shoot
Martini Henry shoot

A first for Firearm festival:
This year the shoot will be started with a demonstration of "OU GRIETJIE" the cannon used by the Voortrekkers at the Battle of Blood River. (A replica cannon of course.)

At the end of the day the prize giving ceremony in the big tent, followed by a meal of venison potjie, wors and sosaties.

As usual, free camping at the range, because the day is just too full to drive there and back in a day.

You have firearm festivals, bokke that can be shot at 50m and the Blue Bulls... oh, but wait.

I guess I'll stick to wine festivals, 200m plus Karoo shooting and WP/Stormers.
