    Default Hunting Handgun fun shoot.

Tembo (branch of the South African Hunters and Game Conservation Association) hosting with HHASA (Handgun Hunters Association of Southern Africa) a special shoot on Saturday 30 August for everybody interested in shooting with hunting handguns. This will be held on the Pelindaba range. At least three tables will be shot from 10 to 30 meters, 30 to 70 meters and 70 to 130 meters. Come join in the fun and if you are lucky you could end up taking a nice 8) price home with you.

Would love to join in. Can you please provide a little bit more info, like the format of the shoot, time restrictions between shots, entry fee, minimum calliber/power factor.
Myself and Sands will definitively be there if we are allowed to participate with black powder pistols. The pistols we intend to compete with fires a 370grain bullet at close to 800ft/sec. More than adequate to take out most small sized animals. Barrel length is 16", and is a .50 cal

    Mic

Go to: http://www.handgunhuntersa.com/index.php?content=news under "Education" have a look at the three tables.

I'm not sure about the fee yet. Will get the info soon, the guys are out hunting. (My guess R50 to R70)

Minimum caliber: According HHASA ethical code not smaller than 357 Magnum.

    Black powder is fine.

Registration will start at 07:30 and shooting at 08:30. The fee would be R50 per person.

We plan a braai after the shoot. You could bring your own refreshments or could order a braaipack when registering. Soft drinks will be for sale on the range.

If you need directions to the range please contact me.

I mentioned 357 Magnum as the minimum caliber, that’s for hunting revolwers. All centre fire hunting calibers apply for the purpose of the shoot. 224 and bigger.

Sorry guys. Myself and Sands will not be able to attend. We were asked by the organisers of the Ellisras firearm festival to be RO's for the blackpowder range during the weekend. Sorry.
