Appeals Board
Does anyone know if the appeals board is operational/functional at present?

Re: Appeals Board
Not sure, but it is easier and faster to get good advise here on Gunsite, and resubmitting

Re: Appeals Board
I helped someone with a pistol for SD application. In the motivation, we stated that she would also be using it at the shooting club order to practise and take part in monthly club shoots to improve her proficiency. I haven't yet read the refusal letter with my own eyes but she says it has been refused because you are not allowed to take part in competitions with your SD arm. We will make a decision once I have read the refusal letter but it just sounds like total hogwash.
I agree that in general it is easier & quicker to just reapply but this is her second application for the same SD pistol and the first one was refused for an equally ridiculous reason so it feels like there is something else at play here and maybe an appeal will be the way to go. In the meantime I'm just gathering my facts.

Appeals Board
As I understand, from a very reliable source. There is currently a backlog of appeals of about 10k and one person working through it.

Re: Appeals Board
From the experience I'm having at the moment, I think the Appeals Board is struggling. I barely get answers out of them. They never answer their phones. I have only managed in 4 weeks to get through to them on one occasion. It seems my Appeal is lost. I dont know what is going to happen now...

Re: Appeals Board
OK, so, when you reapply, there where you have to indicate if a license has been declined, what do you say?
