My mother and sister had snubbies, never had issues at all, both sent for destruction :banghead:

Re: Taurus PT809E Range Review
Hey SLR I’m still around and so is my Taurus PT809. Still functioning pretty well, I must admit that I haven’t taken it out as much as I would of liked but yeah….
I had a slight issue a few years back when I was at the range and my front Novac sight fell off, scratched around in the dirt like an old timey prospector, located it and fortunately the hex screw was still halfway in the sight itself. Grabbed some loctite and tightened it back up.
On that, I kinda eyeballed the sight in, not real scientific I know. Someone once suggested I shove a laser down the barrel, point it at a wall and line my sights up on the dot.
Any thoughts on that?

Re: Taurus PT809E Range Review
Still have it, really enjoyed the PT809. Besides the “problem” I mentioned previously regarding the sights I had no issues over the 8 or so years owing it.
With that said the only real issue I have is the concealability as it’s a full frame FA. So, it is with great sadness that I’ll have to part ways with it, Taurus was pretty much faultless throughout and I do not regret my purchase.
It’s really a well put together FA, just too big. I will therefore be replacing the PT809 with a CZ P07 or the Glock 43X ( I’ll probably be taking the Glock)
