Default FDCC Anniversary Match (Link to tons of pics)

In my neck of the woods here in Florida, USA, we have a little club called the Florida Defensive Carbine Club...motto...'Guns Save Lives'. You do not pay to be a 'member'...just show up and shoot on the last Sunday of every month...rain. cold, hot, you name it, we shoot...period. There is no member list and in fact, unless you choose to give it, no one will ever know if you even compete under your own name or not...first names last initial only are how all scores are listed. There is (usually) no charge to compete and you may shoot pretty much whatever you wish, from your Enfield .303 bolt to an M1 Garand, to your tricked out AR or select fire M16 / M4. Rules are very much confined to safety. No power factor, no foot fault lines (within reason) and you will really have to work to get DQ'd.

Prizes are bragging rights for a month...that's all. It is not 'training' although there are lots of very experienced guys and gals there who will help you should you ask. In fact, more than once I have seen guys loan out a $3000 rifle and give a new shooter ammo to compete. It is all about comradeship and having safe fun with our guns. Materials and labor are usually donated by some of the regulars but we certainly do take and appreciate all donations for stuff like targets and wood, etc.

There are over 400 pics at this link from our 8th Anniversary shoot last Sunday. Word has gotten out and we get lots of gear donated by manufacturers as door prizes. We also have food and beverages (non alcoholic) at this shoot, although quite often someone will bring a grill and others some food and we will cook. The entry fee for this match only is usually around $10 / R80. The prizes are all awarded by drawing from stubs given out when you register, so you could be a shitful shot yet still win, for instance, a brand new Eotech, etc. Very few shooters ever leave empty handed from the Anniversary shoots.

Just thought you guys might like to see what we do here...Corne...you will see how we construct 'houses' as a bonus! ;D

    Enjoy (hope the link works)

ok so we really digressed onto an interesting topic have made it a thread on its own and moved it to general discussions!
I am studying an awesome brand of leg fighting which was inspired by dung beetles and I think my brand of Kraft Manure is superior to all other styles ever invented. Furthermore I challenge all other manurists to a rolling contest where we shall establish whose manure ball is the biggest! I shall call it Honest Kraft Manure and declare it superior to all other brands of manure and will tell you that I have claimed the lineage directly to Imshi the great Dragon Kru Master Beetler who invented manuring, by gathering all manure from different animals together and making it work as the worlds most effective fertilizer. I proved myself by being members of not one but three super elite special gardening departments who were responsible for spreading manure to combat weed infestations!
