Oh FFS! Really?
1) The lower does not contain the firing pin.
2) The lower is just a frame, which house certain things. Not like the printer makes a complete firearm.

someone please explain that the lower is only the "core compnent" in the US as that is the part that is licensed. it doesn't make the barrel, upper, etc which one can buy as parts kits in the US but not anywhere else

Yea I started posting that earlier then realised it's all crap.

If you have a milling machine and maybe a lathe you can make a machine gun. This is not news. It's been the case for a long time. If you want accuracy you want a rifled barrel but at hijack distance you don't even need that.

And that is why gun control is BS.

There are folks in America reportedly who made a submachine gun in their garage, using garage tools. Granted the result wasn't great, but it can be done if you're determined enough, it seems.
