I am astounded at the talent of a mate of mine, Derek van der Merwe, is doing on the custom knife front.

This was made using a rasp as source material for the blade.

I am a minimalist design sort of guy, but this gave me a twinge of longing...

The Damascus bolster and tamboti work so well together.

Budlust, do you think Derek would mind if you posted a link to his "road to knife making" thread on airrifle.co.za. Ive read this thread many times over and keep going back to see any new knives he has crafted. As is many knifemakers in SA, Derek is exceptionally talented and extremely creative. I hope to own one of his knives in the not too distant future.
