I humbly ask the sages of GS to help me make a decision.
Oh wise men, women, and moderators of Gunsite,
I beseech you on this day, the 26st of December of 2009 to share your wisdom and experience with me.
I have a difficult decision to make.
I am plagued by the Ka-bar TDI, it haunts me in my dreams and Internet use. I have decided to give into its voodoo and make it part of my daily life, but the question is this:
Do I go with the large TDI
http://www.sharpedge.co.za/index.php...emart&Itemid=4
or do I go with the small TDI
http://www.sharpedge.co.za/index.php...emart&Itemid=4
Things that you must consider before sharing your opinions:
1. It will be my main tool for self defense until my licenses are approved.
2. I needs to be conceal easily
3. Needs to be comfortable to carry.
4. I only have money for one - I would buy 2 of each if I had the finances.
My first instinct is to go for the large TDI - because bigger seems better, especially since it will be my primary SD tool. But I don't know how well it will conceal when compared to the small TDI. Does anyone carry a large TDI on a daily basis?
I will patiently await your response.

I carry the small one on a daily basis. Outstanding knife.
I don't have much experience with the large one looks good though. Comfort be damned. Like a gun it's meant to be comforting not comfortable.
You can never have too many knives.

Socrates as you have made up your mind my words should be more of a comfort, I do have the larger one, it is an awesome knife, I do carry it on a daily basis, forget all your worries about concealibility or discomfort!
I am studying an awesome brand of leg fighting which was inspired by dung beetles and I think my brand of Kraft Manure is superior to all other styles ever invented. Furthermore I challenge all other manurists to a rolling contest where we shall establish whose manure ball is the biggest! I shall call it Honest Kraft Manure and declare it superior to all other brands of manure and will tell you that I have claimed the lineage directly to Imshi the great Dragon Kru Master Beetler who invented manuring, by gathering all manure from different animals together and making it work as the worlds most effective fertilizer. I proved myself by being members of not one but three super elite special gardening departments who were responsible for spreading manure to combat weed infestations!

Socrates, I've also got the Large TDI and carry it daily. It's an awesome knife and very easy to use efficiently but it does need a better sheath.
