Yes. A shortage in one place results in a shortage overall.
It should be on rotation though.

Pretoria is running stage 2 today.
Parts of Johannesburg has already been switched off.

So, the buddy who is involved, who sent the message, just got loads shedding at home.

Quite ironic, as he works for a company that does monitoring for eskom.

Ja. But its interesting how it works. Parts of equestria in pretoria are off, others not. Mine is off, my buddies house is within 1km and his is on. I suppose it depends what supply line you are on. But ja, eskom are incompetent. Having done my time at the medupi power station build, I am qualified to say they are just there to employ friends and family and stretch the project out so they can all remain employed as long as possible under those favourable conditions. A walk through eskoms site parking facilities will indicate the kind of salaries being paid to all those useless fools sitting at desks making rules, procedures, etc that are not in the best interests of the projects ever being completed.
