What's the next step? Take the swine to a court?
The ad about being an organ donor was not about commercial activity either but that got pulled too.

I thought public advertising fell under their auspices regardless?

The ASA used to make some good judgements. In the past few years, I have found them confusing to say the least. Often they fail to understand the underlying arguments. This one, however, seems to be politically expedient.

As non-commercial opinions are free game, what are the odds of getting the Sunday Times to run a "Gun Free South Africa are liars." advert? And when we get called to the ASA, we get them to make a ruling, based on our evidence of the times GFSA has lied, eg. four times more likely.

If you did not have the means to protect yourself then GFSA was there.

A home invasion with assault and a rape. With the line, "If you are unable to defend yourself. GunfreeSA is to blame".

Turnabout is fair play... (not that fair play enters in to GFSA's way of thinking)
